back to portlandia!

I’m officially back from a one week vacation to Boston and New York with my friend Millie. I’m a little bummed it didn’t snow, but I had swell times, so I’ll live.

Expect a bajillion photos next week.  For now, let me say that the most awesome things I sampled on vacation were a variety of sushi at Soy and Sake, a latte at 1369 Coffeehouse in Boston, the new Peace O’ Pie, and a NYC bagel.  I need to go back to my rule of not eating bagels outside of New York State.  There’s simply no point.   Other highlights (or amusements) included the Leslie and the Lys show, a bubblegum martini, double doses of fake shrimp, Stogo, and Daiya cheese everywhere.  Is it the new face of veganism?

I went for the vanilla, cause you know, I was on vacation…

Upcoming posts: NYC and Boston travel write ups, the secret project with Janessa and Portland’s First Vegan Iron Chef news!

  1. I know how you feel about the bagels. That’s how I feel about pizza. The pizza in New York and New Haven ( I’m originally from CT ) are just the best and eating pizza away from there, well……..there’s just no point.

  2. NYC bagels are THE BEST…and I’m not even from NY! Wish I could find a source of them here in St. Louis.

Can’t wait to see more pics of your trip. I’m going to New England this summer and need some good places to visit.

  3. Heh, be glad you got a flight out before it did snow – for nigh on three days with nearly two feet throughout the city! You got a NYC vacation right smack dab between our three snowstorms. =)

Who knew people would be visiting Portland for the sunshine?

Don't be shy...have something to share?
